nice game. Harder than the sequel.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Thanks! And yeah, the original is probably the most difficult in the series.

I'd expect this from snake but not Homer xD

Aprime responds:

Snaaaake!

Strawberry clock is the epitome of Newgrounds. In other words, I love this game with every beat of my heart!

Plus the noises and his voices are charming on their own

Aprime responds:

Thanks! :)

why do you have to kill She? Is there an alternate storyline? I was really hoping that I could walk a different path, or is that just how the game is made?

Raeldor responds:

Once you go down a path (Specifically in the final screen of said path) you cannot change the outcome. There is 3 main endings, and 3 minor endings. The only issue that the game had is that the phycho ending is much easier to get than intended from my part. I will bugfix the game some time after the Pixel day competition ends (when I have some time to spare).

This game is great, but as some other people have observed, I don't think the medals are working. This is fun though. It's an interesting piece of work!

PonyStew responds:

I updated the game after previous review and a few guys got their medals after that. I haven't touched anything since, so, everything should work. Thanks for your opinion, i'll check the medals just in case.

It's like Donkey Kong but with King of the Hill! Nice game. My brain just hatched the idea for a sequel starring my favorite character from the series... John Redcorn!

OfficialBAM responds:

Thanks.I'm working on some ideas for a sequel with unlockable characters.

redundant and melodramatic.

I don't mean to be harsh. I've seen your other games and you've done much better than this. Furiously pounding your spacebar with mournful music in the background and some whiny kid complaining about how his depression is a "cloud" that follows him don't make a good plot nor does it make decent gameplay. This game stereotypes people struggling with depression and panders to whiny emo wannabe kids who mope about how much their lives stink when really they haven't suffered a single thing worth shedding a tear.

08jackt you're a top notch gamer, and forgive me if I sound like an ass projecting my own problems, I just really didn't like this game, and to those reading this; don't take my word. You might play the game and have an entirely different experience than I did

JackAstral responds:

All g dude! This game isn't about depression- it's a spiritual sequel to my other game The Darkness With You- kinda an alternative ending. The dude's girlfriend died in a car accident in that game, so that's why he's so mopy in this one ha ha

I've updated the game a bit to include better gameplay, if you wanna give it another try

Had fun playing. Very entertaining. Still, for some reason it didn't do much for me. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

JackAstral responds:

Sure, no probs. Have you played the other episodes in the series?

Shuriyuken!! This game is the bomb!! Great storyline with recrudescent yet original ideas!!!

Muja responds:

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it!
As I wrote to another user before, a "spiritual" sequel to this game is now under production, featuring original characters and a story settled in feudal japan, and an upgraded version of this turn-based, martial arts oriented battle system.
I estimate it'll be ready by March, but If you want to be the first one to know when this game will be online, follow me here on Newgrounds, or like my facebook page "Interactales".

If you liked this game, you'll probably love the new one... even without Street Fighter characters ;)

great game!!! The premise of the critic getting stuck in the game is a wonderful idea for a plot! The fact this game is so imaginative yet the critic disses it entirely is very funny. My favorite character's the RoboButler.

Muja responds:

Thanks a lot!
To be honest, I had a lot of fun writing the Robutler's lines... I'm very glad you had fun, too! Thanks for the review!
